Our frequently asked questions (FAQ) are designed to help you answer some of the most common questions we get asked, such as what is glamping, where are we located, how to manage your booking, parking enquiries and more.

Just like the name suggests, glamping refers to a type of modern camping that is different from traditional camping in terms of comfort, luxury, and resources. 

We offer modern, comfortable and eco-friendly types of accommodation including bell tents, cabins and geodomes.

​We are lucky to be located near a range of relaxing and adventurous attractions for you to to explore. From fabulous coastal walks, adrenaline filled activities, spectacular scenery and historical sites, there is something for everyone! See our hand-selected activities on our Things to Do page.

Please note that Owl Valley is completely off grid and so there are no electric hook ups at any of the units. There is also very little phone reception. We do have solar powered charger packs available upon request.

We have been working hard to prepare Owl Valley to safely re-open to the public during these unprecedented and uncertain times. We have been paying close attention to advice from the Government, as well as recommendations from the camping industry, in order to provide our guests with a safe and secure place to reconnect with nature.

If there are any changes or cancellations from your side, you must let our team know as soon as possible to cancel or alter your booking experience. Communication in this regard may be done over the phone, but all confirmation must be completed via emails.

  • Arrival times/check in for all accommodation types are between 15:30 and 22:00.
  • Departure/check out for all accommodation types is by 10:30, on the departure date.
  • Alternative times can occasionally be arranged on request.
  • Please do ring if you have any questions or to let us know if you expect to arrive late or are delayed.
  • The parking is a five-minute walk away from the site, and vehicles are forbidden from entering the reserve beyond the parking. Exceptions include emergency responders and staff vehicles.

As much fun as pets may add to the experience, pets are regrettably disallowed from our site to ensure the safety of all people and animals in the area.

  • Bedding for single beds
  • Towels
  • Torch (we will have wind-up/solar torches you can borrow from us, subject to a £10 deposit if you forget
  • Good shoes and wellies – we are, of course, at the mercy of the British weather
  • Clothing for all weathers
  • Binoculars
  • Insect repellent (seasonal)
  • Your sense of adventure
