Tawny Cabin

Taking the ‘cabin in the woods’ dream and making it a reality.

New for 2022, Tawny Cabin has been lovingly hand crafted by Chris and Scott. Nestled in the valley amongst the trees with the stream burbling close by with your own private wood fired hot tub, it really is the epitome of getting away from it all.

This cabin sleeps up to five people – 1 kingsize bed, 2 single futon beds on a mezzanine floor and a small double sofa bed. Tawny boasts a large log burner inside perfect for a cosy evening cuddled up around the fire.

Outside, there is a fully equipped kitchen area with gas and water supply plus all of your cooking essentials, and there is also a lovely undercover bbq area. Tawny has its own private bathroom which consists of a large shower room with a gas powered shower and a separate toilet room with a Biolan composting toilet.

On the private decking area, you will find a large table and chairs perfect for dining alfresco whilst being sheltered by the generous porch. And, of course, the wonderful wood fired hot tub for the exclusive use of the cabin only. The daily set up and use of the hot tub is included at no extra charge – Chris and Scott will be on hand daily to clean and get the tub up to temperature for you.

Tawny Cabin also has its own fire pit situated next to the stream with log seats perfect to gather round swapping campfire stories and roasting marshmallows to your heart’s content!

As with all of our site, Tawny is off grid but is adorned with lots of solar powered lanterns and fairy lights inside and out.

Accompanied by Steve’s Shack, our recreational space, where you can find a pool table, darts board, plenty of board games, a log burner, and plenty of candles, it is the perfect place for those odd rainy evenings.​ We also have a small honesty shop where you will be able to pick up some essentials like extra fire wood or additional bbq coal; this is also where you can pick up freezer packs for the cool boxes provided.

Up on the Carriage Way is the cob and stone Beaters Hut (affectionately known as the bus stop, an excellent spot for a bit of stargazing) and hidden away a little further into the woods is the large campfire site, located in the old quarry.
