Find yourself again

Under the ownership of Chris and Lesley, exploring Owl Valley continues to be a magical experience both in essence and style. Inundated with work and responsibilities, we lose ourselves in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A glamping experience is precisely what you need to break out of the rut and find yourself again; believe us – we’re living proof.

Located in Bideford, Devon, the Owl Valley glampsite is nestled inside a private nature reserve, boarded by a small stream and overlooked by woodland. Surrounded by the infinite bounties of nature on all sides, an Owl Valley Glamping trip is an excellent opportunity to reconnect with yourself and rekindle your passion for life.

At Owl Valley, we recognise that the beauty and serenity of nature are invaluable, and we are lucky that we get to experience it in all its glory. Therefore, we strive to minimise our environmental impact and keep our trip as eco-friendly as we can. We try to reuse and recycle wherever possible and ask our guests to join us in helping to preserve our special piece of the countryside. We urge our happy campers to join us in our mission and ensure that the valley retains its raw and pristine beauty.

Owl Valley Cabin Accomodation

What we have to offer

No matter what accommodation type you choose: Short Eared Tent, Long Eared GeodomeBarn Owl Cabin or Tawny Cabin, it will be accompanied by our famous Steve’s Shack; a recreational space, which has 2×2 gas rings and a washing-up area, along with seating, games, a log burner, and plenty of candles – perfect for those odd rainy evenings. We also have a small honesty shop where you will be able to pick up some essentials like bread, milk, and eggs.

Up on the Carriage Way is the cob and stone Beaters Hut (affectionately known as the bus stop, an excellent spot for a bit of stargazing) and hidden away a little further into the woods is the large campfire site, located in the old quarry.

The campfire site is a sheltered spot for getting together, swapping stories of your adventures and roasting a few marshmallows. If you have a little acoustic talent, you may even want to have a little campfire sing-song.

The glamping experience

The invigorating experience of glamping is a learning experience that helps you learn more about yourself and become one with nature.

Nothing beats fresh countryside air. When you go camping, you can give yourself a much-needed break from polluted city air and breathe in the wondrous scents of the outdoors.

The outdoors is a great place to unplug and get away from your screens. You can get away from all your devices and explore nature to your heart’s content.

Camping gives you a chance to get in touch with nature, observe wildlife, and star gaze without city lights fogging up the sky.

While a glamping trip is loaded with comfort, you can still learn valuable life skills if you choose to. From starting a fire to tying a knot, you are sure to learn skills that will help you in your life.

Camping is a great way to strengthen not only old relationships but also build new ones. You can find people with similar interests and forge friendships that can last a lifetime.
